I went base over apex – what to do?

I’ve been watching spring arrive in the ‘Woods. It has taken its time this year, admittedly, but despite all adverse weather conditions, it has definitely got its foot in the door.

I love spring. Elektra obviously does – she really kicks her heels with attitude out on our field.

We mares got so carried away that we broke the fence by accident and got out onto the big fields that are saved for our summer grazing. We had a great time galloping around – all that wide open space. I wasn’t being careful enough and lost my footing, going head over heels a few times. It shook me up quite a bit, and judging by the look on Elizabeth’s face, she was shaken too. However, in the words of a song I hear sometimes, I got up, brushed myself off and set off again after my friends.

The spring flowers never seem to give up do they? It has been a cold, miserable, long, dreary and dark February with icy temperatures day in day out and yet those colourful little spring flowers still bounce back at us like a boomerang. They are doing what comes naturally. And they do not give up.

You too can pick yourself up when life pulls the carpet out from under you. You can achieve as much success as you want to.

We are surrounded by so much negative junk these days that I guess we all need someone on the side-lines cheering for us.

So here is my encouragement. Never give up. You can do it. Make it a habit.  Don’t buy into the junk belief that life has to be a struggle. Achieving success mean being prepared to try something new to get different results. Look for a solution.

“Always think of what you have to do as easy and it will become so.” Emile Coue.

Enjoy your ride.
